Hello beautiful girls (and boys)! So yesterday ended up being a disaster. Parents caught on to the fasting thing and were pissed. I promised them that I'd only fast until Friday at the latest. I may have lied, though, because this just keeps getting easier and easier. And my skin! It hasn't been this clear in - well, a while. Plus my energy levels aren't that bad - although when I take my Ativan (three times a day) I get pretty drowsy for like 45 minutes. It's bearable though. Anyway, I weighed in this morning at 140.5! Then I peed, and weighed in again at.... 140! Which was my short term goal :D I'm hoping I'll be at 135 by Friday. Needless to say I was pretty damn psyched - and my parents cooled down, too, so it turned out to be a good day so far. They won't let me go to the gym, but I can still get a good swim in! My clothes feel so much looser since I started this fast. Yay. :)
By the way, I was doing some research on daily caloric needs today and I think I'm going to post it, in case anyone's interested.

Day three of the water fast and I'm going strong! I weighed in at 144 again this morning, but I'm well-hydrated so I'm assuming a couple pounds of that is excess water weight. Last night I was really tired so I didn't manage to go to the gym again, but I did jog for a short while. Today there'll be lots of swimming and I'll go to the gym this evening - I'm going for 800 calories burned today. Not sure when I'm going to break my fast - I know the longer you fast the easier it gets, so now I'm looking at at least one more day for sure. My parents are really on me about it though, so I might have to have a salad sometime soon to appease them. Oh well.

I've decided to continue fasting. I had a glass of water today and then went to the gym - my dad was in a rush so I only got about 45 minutes in. I was in the sauna for 10 and then did 340 calories on the stepper. After that I came home and weighed in - 144 lbs! I know that some of that is water weight from the sauna, but still, it's nice to see on the scale. Hopefully I'll get a chance to go back to the gym again today, but at the very least I should see about 60+ minutes of swimming and 90+ minutes of hiking.
I think the lorazepam I started taking on Friday is improving my mood and helping me sleep. It also seems to be suppressing my appetite somewhat, although I'm not sure if that's the drug or just me. It seems that "change in appetite" is one of the less common side effects, but I'm not sure if that's it. Nevertheless, it's reduced my anxiety somewhat successfully. Next time I see the doctor I'm going to try to get my prescription increased.

Slept in late today. I've had 2 glasses of water so far and have decided that this will be a fast day. After waking I weighed in at 147 lbs. My short term goal is 140 lbs, so only 7 more to go! The weather is warm and sunny, and hopefully that'll help me burn some calories while jogging. I'm going to try to keep this whole week below 450 calories a day - that gives me 205 for a soy protein shake, and everything else will be fruits and vegetables.
I swam for an hour today and am planning to go to the gym for an hour shortly to work on my cardio - that'll give me a good chance to see if my new medication has any negative effects on my workout routine. I put down 100 good situps this morning and I'll do at least one hundred more tonight. After the gym (and showering of course), I'll probably go for an evening walk or hike. The weather's gorgeous. At this point I'm thinking 140 by next Sunday is a good short term goal.
